Our country and the world is in a precarious state. SuccessWerx will try to make some sense of what’s going on in our country and the world and maybe try to make a few bucks in the process. Even in the most trying times opportunities do exist.
1) The Federal Government, State and local governments and consumers are in an enormous debt bubble.
2) The US Government bond market is shaky. Foreign buyers of US treasuries have greatly reduced their purchases of US debt. Less buyers ultimately leads to lower prices which in turn leads to higher interest rates, which the economy can’t handle.
3) Countries outside the US are increasingly looking to bypass the US dollars for international transactions by creating an alternative to the SWIFT payment system. This accelerated after the US froze out Russia as punishment for the invasion of Ukraine
4) Inflation is a huge problem, despite the nonsense spewed by the White House. The Iran War has made inflation worse. Fuel, housing, health insurance, college tuition, car prices…everything – it’s all out-of-control.
5) The stock market, by all measures is very overpriced seeming being held up by tech stocks, AI stocks and probably manipulation.
And, the Iran War has ignited turmoil in the Middle East. We launched an unnecessary war against a country that did not attack us, was no threat to us, and according to all of our intelligence services was not building a nuclear weapon.
And the Iran War has once again destroyed the myth of US invincibility, as a reminder for those that don’t remember Vietnam. When all is said and done in Iran they will likely control the Strait of Hormuz and will likely emerge as the dominant power in the Middle East. So, like Vietnam and Iraq…thanks to the war hawks in our country, we have screwed up again. When will we learn?
The best way forward is to study and learn from the past, start to correct our obvious mistakes which will probably require a new third party… free from special interests, especially corporate interests and foreign interests.
